Join us on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (AKA Orange Shirt Day) for a Pipe Ceremony, a community barbecue and performances from Indigenous artists, to honour the Victims, Survivors and all those who have been and continue to be impacted by the Residential School system. Berry soup and bannock will be served following the ceremony.
Community members are welcome to bring offerings to place at the memorial Site for Residential School Victims and Survivors and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls located in Ethel Tucker Park. Offerings can be anything that has meaning to you and pays respect to the Residential School Victims and Survivors, as well as all the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

- 10 a.m. -12 p.m. – Pipe Ceremony and community discussion with two Residential School Survivors sharing their story in the Town's Tipi
- 12 - 3 p.m. – Community barbecue with burgers and hot dogs, available until supplies run out.
- 12 to 4 p.m. – Performances from Indigenous Artists
- 12 to 12:15 p.m. – Honour Song and Community Round Dance by Traditional Singers
- 12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. – Performance from Martin Desjarlais
- 1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. – Performance from Jaiden Riley
- 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Performance from Nisto
- 3:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Performance from Brettyn Rose
*Mental health professionals will be on site to support event attendees should the subject matter bring up difficult emotions and additional support is needed.
